Top Date Idea: The Driving Range!
Take your man outside and get ready for some laughs. Here’s how it works:
The Concept
You’ll be taking your date to a real driving range to practice your swing together. Even if you both stink, enjoying the fresh air and each other’s company will make up for it.
- You’ll need some athletic shoes, a good sense of humor, and 2 golf clubs (minimum)
- It will cost you about $10 and 2 hours of time.
Our Three Step Process
Because we women can handle more steps.
Step 1
This is an easy one. It doesn’t matter if your good at golf at all. You can start planning this one in advance by asking your dad for a set of clubs, or maybe even find a cheap iron at a garage sale. You can even borrow them from the range if you don’t have a set. Also at the range, you’ll need to buy a bucket of balls. (I would just get one large bucket. That will save some money, and if it turns out you two want to keep playing, just purchase another – no problem.)
Step 2
Head out to the range with your newly acquired equipment and get ready for some fun that will last about 15 minutes. In New York? Try your luck at the County Fair Entertainment Park. After that, depending on how competitive you are, you can enjoy a few other amenities of the park. Walk around and have a great time! :). Unless you’re a golf prodigy, be prepared for other fun things too – like laughing and taking pictures!
Step 3
One thing that you definitely must do while you are at the range is to make a game of trying to hit the guy driving around in the steel cart picking up the balls! (It’s okay, you’ll never hit him). But that will help add some added entertainment to the day. Afterward, you can head out or choose to grab some lunch in the pro shop area. Eat what golfers eat – and depending on the place, they may even have a nice women’s locker room with a Jacuzzi!
Here Is What We Did
Women, you can entice your man by following examples like this (they’re easy)!
We took a trip out to the range and there happened to be a little pond way to the right. So every now and then one of us would try to slice (or hook) a ball way to the right to see if we could get it in. (I think out of all of them, we got 1 or 2. Golfing is not our thing – but being outside, doing something you’re unfamiliar with, and just keeping the afternoon light and easy was a fun time anyway!
